Four patterns.
Eight bars of variation.
No automation lanes.
Twill gates, filters, pans and drives your sound with four 16-step patterns. A treadling sequence decides which patterns play on each bar, so a one-bar idea becomes a phrase that keeps moving.
Interactive preview of the planned interface. Click steps, change shift or toggle lines in the treadling: the cloth on the right recalculates the whole phrase. This preview makes no sound.
A loom for modulation
Write four patterns
Sixteen steps each, from 1/32 to 1/4, straight or triplet.
Offset them per bar
Each line can move by up to 7 steps every bar. The same pattern returns displaced and builds polyrhythms.
Route to five targets
Volume, filter cutoff, pan, drive and a tempo-synced delay send, each with positive or negative depth.
Program the phrase
Up to 16 rows, one per bar. Each row says which lines play. The cloth shows the result before you hit play.
Dry loop against Twill at matched level, on drums, a pad and a bass line. The examples will be recorded from the beta build, not from a simulation.
Audio examples arrive with the public beta.
Three 15-second screen recordings with sound: change one step, add a line to the treadling, turn shift from 0 to 3.
Videos arrive with the public beta.
Every cover is the preset itself
Each image below is drawn from the preset's own data: eight bars, sixteen steps, one colour per line.

Questions
Does Twill add latency?
The design uses no look-ahead, so we expect it to report zero samples. We will confirm this on release builds.
Does it follow my DAW's tempo?
That is the design: Twill reads the host tempo and bar position, so the phrase stays locked to your arrangement.
What happens when the trial ends?
Twill stops processing and passes audio through unchanged. Your projects still open.
How is this different from other pattern shapers?
Most let you switch patterns with MIDI notes or automation. Twill combines four patterns per bar from an internal sequence. We are checking current competitor versions and will only publish a comparison we can back up.
